I volunteer at Code Your Future, a software development school for refugees, and some of our students unfortunately encountered a lot of rejection when they completed the course. However, with some persistence, they eventually accepted their first junior developer roles.

It can certainly be demoralising to be constantly turned down, but never give up. It’s OK to take a step back for a moment if you’re feeling overwhelmed, but if you continue forward, someone will witness your talents and take a chance on you.
